Dental implants are additions - like artificial roots - created to substitute missing teeth due to any reason, capable of integration to the point of creating a healthy and totally natural fusion with the rest of the mouth tissues.

Dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone or maxillary bones.

At Clínica Ocampo, we start by doing a thorough assessment of the patient´s situation, medical and dental history and a complete clinical test of the entire mouth and missing teeth. The clinical test must also include specific X-rays. After evaluating the patient, a treatment plan is designed. From that point on, implants are surgically placed in the maxillary bones under local anesthetics. Recovery time depends on the quality and quantity of the bone, as well as on the type of implant placed.
